MY STORY
Born in sunny Miami, FL, I always had a love for the Ocean. However, I didn't always look at it as a possible career. During my time in undergrad, at Florida Gulf Coast university, my eyes were opened to the world of research. I completed my MSc degree in England at the university of Exeter, and have just recently defended my PhD dissertation at the university of Miami.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to do what I do, and love engaging people about my work and marine science in general. I think there is room for everyone in this space and valuable contributions to marine science are not solely through peer-reviewed publications. Some of the biggest impacts come from sitting around a table with a few beers and having some good conversation/discussion.
